Liverpool FC junior scout Ian Thompson has dedicated more than 20 years to identifying and developing emerging football talent, building a respected reputation across both the professional and grassroots game. Alongside his long-standing role within one of the world’s most recognised football clubs, Ian serves as President of a grassroots junior football league in Liverpool that has a renowned history of creating talent pathways to professional clubs, where he continues to champion youth development and community football initiatives.
With a career spanning over 25 years in the sports industry, Ian has developed extensive experience in international football development, particularly throughout Norway. Over the years, he has built strong relationships with professional and grassroots clubs across the country, delivering elite football camps, supporting player development pathways, and coordinating football tours to the North West of England.
